Having joined Santander from a competitor where I was a Personal Banker, I decided on a career change as a Trainee Financial Adviser. Taking advantage of Santander’s internal mobility opportunities, I developed my role from looking after investments and protection initially, to now deputising for my Regional Manager Financial Planning, which is part of Santander’s succession programme. Seizing the opportunity to be part of this programme, I am seeking to learn and enhance my leadership and management skills and use this chance to strengthen my many skills across rapport building, customer engagement & advice and time management.
Santander’s focus on development has created a positive environment for me and through its constant support, has given me a platform to continually grow. Santander’s appreciation for the voice of its employees is why I believe that I’m able to strive to build a better bank for our customers. Encompassing Santander’s core values and working closely with each customer, I am able to embody what it means to work at Santander by offering customers tailored advice to match their needs and aspirations and helping optimise their investments.
Over the last year, the number of changes that Santander has implemented from employee feedback has not only made my role and interaction with customers more efficient, but have given me greater assurances of my role within Santander. For this reason, I feel I am in the perfect organisation for me to progress and develop through great management and continuous support.
