I’ve been here a long while now –18 years! I initially joined after seeing a newspaper advert. The role came with an extensive training package and I liked the idea of helping people make their ambitions come true, so I applied and never looked back.
My personal life sees me moving around a lot and I’ve been able to work in different offices over the years to support that. All in all, I’ve worked in St Albans, Harpenden, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Amersham, Berkhamsted, Dunstable and Hemel Hempstead. (I think that’s all of them!)
I have plenty of variation to keep me on my toes, but my weeks tend to have a pre-set structure, which helps me manage my time between clients. Usually I see around five clients every week, along with plenty of colleagues and time for building presentations and completing my paperwork.
What I really love about working here is spending time with my customers. Whether it’s talking through their ambitions, discussing potential solutions or making sure they fully understand that their future is being taken care of, it’s great to see the people I’m making a difference to in person.
The length of my time here speaks volumes for how great Santander have been throughout my career. This role suits me perfectly, but I’ve always been given chances to diversify my skills and progress – so don’t hesitate to join if that’s what you’re looking for!
